“Cast off!” for AIDAmar in Hamburg

AIDA Cruises opens the cruise season tomorrow, Saturday, July 31, with AIDAmar in Hamburg.

Until the end of October 2021, the metropolis on the Elbe, where the ship was christened as part of the Hamburg Port Anniversary in 2012, is the port of departure and destination for seven-day voyages to the Baltic Sea and Norway every Saturday.

Guests on board AIDAmar will travel past the North Sea coast of Denmark to Gothenburg in Sweden and from there to the Baltic Sea to the island of Gotland or to Gdynia in Poland. In all ports, AIDAmar guests can get to know the country and its people on excursions organized by AIDA.

Starting from August 28, 2021, AIDAmar will set course for Norway* from Hamburg for the first time. Breathtaking fjord landscapes, such as the Geirangerfjord, the cozy coastal towns of Stavanger and Alesund, and Bergen with its historic harbor district Bryggen, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are on the itinerary. In addition to the excursions organized by AIDA, guests of AIDAmar will have the opportunity to go on individual shore excursions.

Guests can expect a varied vacation program on board ranging from culinary highlights in the restaurants, amazing entertainment and numerous wellness offers. In compliance with extensive hygiene measures, AIDA Cruises is once again offering self-selection of meals in selected buffet restaurants for the first time.

Based on current plans, ten cruise ships will be sailing during this year's autumn-winter season, offering guests a broad range of vacation options in Northern Europe, the Canary Islands, the Mediterranean, the Orient and the Caribbean.

All cruises are operated in accordance with AIDA Cruises' comprehensive health and safety protocols and national and local infection control laws and regulations. More information is available at www.aida.de/sichererurlaub.
